Automotive — Common Questions

Can 3D printed parts handle automotive conditions?

Engineering polymers — PA12, carbon-filled nylon, ABS and high-temp resins — handle interior, trim and many under-bonnet applications. Every part is scoped by temperature and load, honestly.

Can you reproduce a discontinued part?

Yes — send the worn part and we 3D scan, rebuild the CAD and reproduce it, typically in days rather than import months.

Do custom interior parts look factory-made?

With finishing, yes — sanding, priming, colour-matched paint and texture work bring printed parts to factory-look standard.

Can you produce a batch for a fleet or kit run?

Yes — validated designs move into low-volume production with identical quality across the run, like our 150-unit scale-model programme for a vehicle launch.

What about airbag, brake or safety-critical parts?

We don't print safety-critical components — and we'll say so directly when a request crosses that line.
