Moulding requires expensive tooling with high setup costs but wins decisively at mass-production scale; 3D printing eliminates setup entirely, making it ideal for low-volume, high-customisation work. Below the ~1,000-unit crossover printing usually wins on total cost — and we'll tell you honestly which side your job sits on.
