Prototype Development
That Keeps Pace With You.

Turn your idea or CAD file into a physical, testable prototype in days — not weeks. Designers, engineers and startups across the UAE use Orbit3D to iterate fast before committing to tooling.

What We Build

Six Kinds of Prototype, One Pipeline

Every stage of product development has a different question. Each prototype answers one.

Concept & Appearance Models

Early physical models to review form, scale and ergonomics — make the idea tangible.

Functional & Engineering Prototypes

Durable, testable working parts in engineering polymers like PA12 nylon and tough resins.

Presentation & Pitch Models

Polished, painted, colour-matched pieces that win over investors and marketing teams.

Proof-of-Concept Models

Quick, low-cost validation of mechanisms and principles before deeper investment.

Fit & Assembly-Check Prototypes

Tolerance and clearance verification against mating parts — before you cut steel.

Pre-Production & Bridge Parts

Refined prototypes that carry you to market while production tooling is still being made.

Who We Prototype For

Teams That Iterate With Us

Why It Works

De-Risk the Product, Not the Deadline

Rapid prototyping service

Speed

Prototypes ready within days — most in 1–5 — because everything happens in-house.

Iteration Freedom

Test, refine and reprint as many times as you need without major cost penalties.

Risk Reduction

Catch design flaws early — before expensive tooling and production commitments.

Confidential by Default

Proprietary designs stay private. We happily sign your NDA before any files are shared.

The Workflow

From Brief to Prototype in Six Moves

Step 1

Brief & Files

Share your concept, sketch or CAD — STEP, IGES, STL, OBJ, 3DM and DWG all accepted.

Step 2

Design & DFM

We optimise your file for printing — or design from scratch, with 3D scanning if a physical reference exists.

Step 3

Material & Process

A clear recommendation — FDM, SLA or MJF — with a fixed quote and timeline.

Step 4

Rapid Printing

Production on the best-suited system, typically completed within days.

Step 5

Finishing & QC

Sanding, smoothing, painting and colour-matching — plus dimensional quality checks.

Step 6

Iterate or Scale

Refine and reprint — or move straight into low-volume production.

Proof, Not Promises

Prototyped, Test-Fitted, Then Finished Like Production

Modification-kit components developed for a dealership vehicle build: printed for test-fit, refined against the vehicle, then finished in gloss for the final kit. That's the full prototype-development arc — from first print to production confidence.

FAQ

Prototype Development — Common Questions

How fast can I get a prototype in Dubai?

Many prototypes are ready in 1–5 days because design, printing and finishing all happen in-house at Dubai Investments Park. Tell us your test or demo date and we plan backwards from it.

Can you make functional, testable prototypes?

Yes — using durable polymers like PA12 nylon, tough ABS-like resins and TPU for flexible parts. Snap-fits, threads and moving assemblies are all printable.

What if I only have a sketch or a physical sample?

Our design team builds printable CAD from sketches and drawings, and 3D scanning digitises existing physical parts.

Will my design stay confidential?

Absolutely. We routinely work with proprietary and pre-patent designs, and we're happy to sign your NDA before any files are shared.

What happens after the prototype is approved?

Your validated design moves directly into low-volume production on the same technologies — no re-engineering, no tooling wait.

Got an Idea Worth Testing?

Your Prototype Could
Print This Week.

Send a CAD file, a sketch or even a photo — an engineer replies the same day with a plan, price and print date.
